Heywire is an ABC initiative to encourage those between the ages of 16 and 22 years to become actively involved in developing their communities. 

At the recent 2022 Heywire Regional Youth Summit (in Shepparton, Vic) six ideas for community development were proposed.  Funding is now available for communities across Australia to adopt, adapt and act on one of these ideas.  For a short introduction to this scheme, you can go to the Southern New England Landcare site, and then for more information go to the Foundation for Rural Regional Renewal.
