Just a short Easter Greeting as we are all facing a very different four day “holiday”, when traditional ways of marking this annual celebration have been swept aside by the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, I wanted you all to know how much we appreciate our members and supporters especially at such a time of national crisis when we are all so clearly reminded of the most significant value of the ABC.

The way that ABC management and staff have quickly responded to providing essential health information for the community and education support  for our children has been absolutely inspiring.

I am convinced that ultimately this will be recognised by the Federal Government because community support is overwhelming.

As we plan our 'Stay at Home Easter' I am reassured to know that the ABC also offers us so much in entertainment so I know there will be many Australian households relying on the national broadcaster for their viewing and listening this coming weekend.
