This lecture, a collaboration between ABC Friends & WEA Sydney, will look at the catastrophic bushfires; media reporting by the different outlets; the role and influence of social media; the ABC’s emergency broadcasting and the imperative for proper funding for Australia’s national broadcaster.
The one hour lunch time lecture by ABC Friends National Vice-President, and ABC Friends NSW & ACT President, Emeritus Professor Ed Davis, will take place at 12:15pm at WEA Sydney - 72 Bathurst St, Sydney.
The lecture is $22 per person, with funds going jointly to WEA and ABC Friends.
