Hosted by Matt Bevan, Australia vs the Internet is a series from the ABC’s If You’re Listening podcast series.

The new series kicked off on 24 April and dives into some of the big questions and challenges we’re facing in the world today. The bitesize episodes drop every Saturday morning, and are well worth a listen over your weekend coffee!

So far, the podcast has featured episodes on misinformation overload, the decline of news accessibility on social media, and the huge influence of tech billionaires on global politics.

The first episode is a guide to understanding the influences of the tech world behind Australia’s 2025 federal election, and why the lack of effort to fact check across social media was a problem.
