We held a stall at the Victoria Park Community Market in John Macmillan Park on 14 November.

The weather was pleasant and we enjoyed conversations with the members of the public who stopped to look at our merchandise and our various pamphlets. Thanks to WA Committee members Bobbie Mackley, Liz Millward, Terri Brown, Jenny Meyrick, Rob McCormack, Eric Findlay and Henry Bateman. Thanks also to three volunteers, Jeanette Evans, a local who engaged with people she knew at the market, Val Marsden and Richard Harding.

On 11 December we held a stall at the Kingsway Christmas Market in Madeley. This market is adjacent to the Kingsway Sporting Complex and is under trees and on lawn. Since it was the Christmas market there were more stalls than usual, providing Christmas gifts and activities for children such as train rides and an animal nursery. There are a lot of young families in the area, so many people said they watched ABC Kids – and their parents listened to Triple J.
