ABC Friends in Western Australia ran a stall at the recent May Day Festival, held on the Fremantle Esplanade.

The May Day Festival had not been held since 2019. The day was fine and the crowd friendly. Our Committee members set up the stall from 8.30 – the Festival opens at 10 am.
Lots of our members came and had a chat. Some were super enthusiastic about the ABC – which we love to hear. David Templeman, MLA, Member for Mandurah, and Minister for Culture & the Arts, came along and asked for a photo with us. Stephen Dawson, MLC, joined in.
We sold a lot of our old merchandise at reduced rates. This was merchandise that had our original logo on it – we have a new logo now but the new merchandise is still to come. Kids loved the free buttons, and Bananas in Pyjamas T shirts in kids size 14 were popular with girls.
When we get new merchandise expect to see us at some community markets. Of course, we do have up-to-date flyers, and we always like to talk to anyone interested.
