Janine Kitson, ABC Friends convenor for Northern Sydney, discusses the mission behind ABC Friends, formed in the 1970s to advocate on behalf of our publicly funded national broadcaster. Janine discusses the range of activities of ABC Friends, including regular monthly public talks on issues topical to the ABC, as well as advocating on issues such as independence of governance and management, funding and staffing cuts, and the move to digital platforms and delivery.
