David Anderson, the Managing Director of the ABC, has reversed the ABC’s decision to abolish the Sunday state news bulletins. This follows a decision in July to scrap the bulletins as a cost-cutting measure.

Government reviews options to support ABC independence
The Minister for Communications, Michelle Rowland, has opened consultations into a review of options to support the independence of the ABC and SBS.
Will Digital First attract Gen Z?
A new digital news report shows that most Australians think the ABC is important to themselves personally and to society more generally. However, the ABC’s struggle to attract younger audiences was also reflected in the survey, which showed Gen Z the least likely cohort to say public media is important to them personally.
