Northern Tablelands Branch

Welcome to the Northern Tablelands Branch of ABC Friends

The Northern Tablelands Branch of ABC Friends welcomes people living in the beautiful townships and surrounds of the Northern Tablelands which stretch south to Walcha, west to Inverell, and north to Tenterfield.  The region forms part of the Great Dividing Range, with waters in the east flowing to the NSW east coast, and waters to the west flowing into the Murray-Darling River system. Our region includes seven Aboriginal nations – Ngarabal, Dainggatti, Anaiwan, Kamilaroi, Banbai, Gumbainggir and Bigambul, and various language dialects. We acknowledge the traditional owners and custodians of this stunning highland region.

There are close to 100 members of the Northern Tablelands Branch (formerly known as the Armidale Branch) which was first established in September 1996. For more about the history of the branch click on link at the bottom.

We welcome new members to our branch and hope you can come along to our meetings either in person or via an online link invite. We also hold special events with more details below.  Members receive a newsletter one or more times per year, as required.
