Welcome to the Northern Tablelands Branch of ABC Friends |
![]() |
The Northern Tablelands Branch of ABC Friends welcomes people living in the beautiful townships and surrounds of the Northern Tablelands which stretch south to Walcha, west to Inverell, and north to Tenterfield. The region forms part of the Great Dividing Range, with waters in the east flowing to the NSW east coast, and waters to the west flowing into the Murray-Darling River system. Our region includes seven Aboriginal nations – Ngarabal, Dainggatti, Anaiwan, Kamilaroi, Banbai, Gumbainggir and Bigambul, and various language dialects. We acknowledge the traditional owners and custodians of this stunning highland region.
The Northern Tablelands Branch (formerly known as the Armidale Branch) was first established in September 1996, and has members from across the region. For more about the history of the branch, please click on 'History of ...' (link below).
We welcome new members to our branch and hope you can come along to our meetings either in person or via an online link. We also hold special events, with details provided via regular posts in our 'Latest News ...' (link below). Members receive a newsletter one or more times per year, as required.
Meetings
Meetings are usually held at 5.30 to 7.00pm on the 2nd Thursday of February, May, August and November, with an AGM accompanying the November meeting. For location details, please contact our secretary (details below).
