The Institute of Public Affairs – the IPA – wants to privatise the ABC, or abolish it completely. They've published a new podcast series, “Their ABC", to push their case. Its proposition is that the ABC is “a bloated, out-of-touch, biased broadcaster”. This is "a ludicrous, shonky piece of work" says Jonathan Holmes, the former presenter of the ABC’s Media Watch.
The IPA wants to abolish the ABC. But most Australians think the ABC is "the most trustworthy source of news in Australia”.
